Samuel L. Jackson says he has no idea whether he will be appearing in Star Wars 7.

The actor took on the role of Jedi Master Mace Windu in the last three Star Wars and has revealed that he would like to return.

J.J. Abrams will be at the helm of the seventh instalment and Jackson says there was no discussion about the film when the two were at the wedding of George Lucas.

Speaking to the AP the actor said: "JJ was there, I was there. I was like [raises eyebrows] and he was like [shrug], and he just went about his business. I don't know what that means."

"Harrison [Ford] was there too, and he was like [shrug]. I just think it would be cool to have some of us that people relate to as being part of the Star Wars franchise to give entre to the new characters that they're going to bring to whatever the new thing is. It kind of makes it an easier entrance."

And while the actor may have no idea about his Star Wars future, the actor has plenty of projects in the pipeline.

He has completed work on the remake of Oldboy, Reasonable Doubt, Kite and RoboCop. He is also set to reprise the role of Nick Fury in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Star Wars VII will be hitting the big screen in 2015.
