Dwayne Johnson has made quite the name for himself in Hollywood, and will lead upcoming action thriller Skyscraper, which hits cinemas a little later this month. Starring alongside the likes of Neve Campbell, Roland Møller and Pablo Schreiber, he’s in fantastic company, and this week a thrilling new teaser for the movie has been released. Check it out below:
Written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, Skyscraper follows the story of former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and US war veteran Will Sawyer (Johnson), who assesses security for skyscrapers and finds himself on assignment in China.
Staying in the country’s tallest, safest building with his family, he finds himself at the centre of a conspiracy to frame him when the tower is suddenly set ablaze. Fighting to clear his name and protect his loved ones who are stuck above the fire line, Sawyer must face the biggest challenges of his life if he’s to prove his innocence and come out of the chaos alive.
Beau Flynn and Hiram Garcia join Johnson and Thurber as producers on the flick, with Dany Garcia, Wendy Jacobson, Eric McLeod and Eric Hedayat all serving as executive producers.
Anticipation for the film is at an all-time high, and Johnson’s biggest fans are looking forward to seeing him right in the middle of a pure action flick once more. Whether or not the critics will encourage moviegoers to rush out and see Skyscraper remains to be seen, but the promotional teasers and trailers put out by Universal Pictures to-date have certainly whetted our appetites, and left us wanting more.
Skyscraper comes to cinemas across the UK on July 12, 2018.
