In a quiet weekend at the U.S. box office, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 is unmoved and has now held the #1 spot for four consecutive weeks.

Mockingjay - Part 2 took a further $11.3 million over the weekend to hold off the challenge from In The Heart of the Sea. The final Hunger Games movie has now grossed $564 million at the global box office.

In The Heart of the Sea marks the return of Ron HOWard to the director's chair and was the highest new entry on the chart this week, opening at number two.

However, the movie took just over $11 million in its first weekend on release - which is quite disappointing. This is Howard's first film since the success of Rush and sees him reunite with actor Chris Hemsworth.

The Good Dinosaur was the only non-mover on the chart this week as the Pixar animation film stayed put at number three. Boxing movie Creed was a two place faller as it slipped from two to number four.

It has been a good week for the film as Sylvester Stallone picked up a Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe nomination as he returns to the role of Rocky Balboa. However, the movie will not his UK cinema screens until January.

Krampus was this week's biggest faller as the festive film slipped three place from two to this week's number five. Spectre slipped out of the top five this week as it dropped one spot to number six.

The Night Before and The Peanuts Movie were both down one as they finished the weekend at seven and eight respectfully. Spotlight - which has also been in the awards mix this week - was down one at nine.

Saoirse Ronan is in the mix for Best Actress at both the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild for her performance in Brooklyn and the critically acclaimed film slipped one to round off this week's top ten.

  1. (1) Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 - $11,300,000
  2. (-) In the Heart of the Sea - $11,005,000
