The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 Still Top Of U.S. Box Office

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 has made it two weeks at the top of the U.S. box office, holding off the challenge from The Good Dinosaur.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2

Mockingjay - Part 2 grossed a further $51.6 million over the weekend and has now taken over $442 million at the global box office.

The Good Dinosaur was the highest new entry inside the top ten this week as the latest Pixar film opened at number two with $39 million.

This is the first time that we have been treated to two Pixar movies in one year as The Good Dinosaur comes hot off the heels of Inside Out - which was a critical and commercial smash earlier this year.

Creed was the second and final new entry as the boxing film opened at number three. This is the latest Rocky film to hit the big screen and sees Sylvester Stallone reprise the role of Rocky Balboa. This time around, he is a trainer not a fighter and takes Adonis "Donnie" Johnson - the son of Apollo Creed - under his wing.

Spectre fell two places this week from two to number four, while The Peanuts Movie also fell two to round off the top five.

The Night Before - which sees Joseph Gordon-Levitt team up with Seth Rogen and Anthony Mackie - fell out of the top five as the comedy dropped two from four to number six.

The Secret in their Eyes, which sees Chiwetel Ejiofor join forces with Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Julia Roberts - was also a two place faller at number seven. Spotlight, which is being tipped as a potential Oscar contender, was the second none-mover at number eight.

Brooklyn was the only film on the up this week as the Saoirse Ronan led film jumped from twelve to this week's number nine. The Martian rounded off the top ten - dropped three places from last week's number seven.
