Thor: The Dark World has made it two weeks at the top of the U.S. box office, holding off the challenge from The Best Man Holiday.

Thor: The Dark World took a further $38.4 million and is closing in on the $500 million mark at the global box office.

The Best Man Holdiay - which is a sequel to The Best Man - was the highest entry on the chart this week as it opened at number two.

Last Vegas was the only film on the up this week as the film, which stars Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Michael Douglas and Kevin Kline, was up a single place to number three.

Animation film Free Birds was down just one place at four, while Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa dropped three spots from two to five.

There was no move for former number one Gravity as it stayed up at six, while Ender's Game was down two at seven.

12 Years A Slave, Captain Phillips and About Time were all down one place this week at eight, nine and ten.
