Transformers: Age of Extinction

Transformers: Age of Extinction has spent a second week at the top of the U.S. box office.

The movie grossed $100 million in its first week on release, and followed that up with $36 million over the weekend.

Age of Extinction - which is directed by Michael Bay - held off the challenge from comedy Tammy.

Tammy sees Melissa McCarthy return to the big screen, as she takes on the title role in the film.

Tammy opened with $21 million this weekend, and had to settle for second.

Deliver Us from Evil was also new at three, while 22 Jump Street and How To Train Your Dragon 2 were both down two at four and five.

Earth To Echo was the third and final new entry inside the top ten this week, as the family film opened at number six.

Maleficent and Jersey Boys were both down two places at seven and eight, while Think Like A Man Too was the biggest faller; down five places from four to nine.

Edge of Tomorrow rounded off the top ten this week as it fell three spots from seven to ten.
