Vin Diesel has revealed that filming on a seventh Fast and Furious movie will begin in L.A. this summer.
The actor will be reprising the role of Dominic Toretto this summer in Fast and Furious 6 but it seems that plans for a seventh film are already very much underway.
There was talk last year that there were plans for a sixth and seventh film and Diesel has confirmed that those rumours were correct.
Writing on Facebook the actor said:
"There was an early screening in LA this week of Fast 6. The crowd reaction was surreal... and their demand for the continuation was powerful...
"It's remarkable to think I first embodied this character in 1999... and the evolution continues.
"P.S. Filming begins this summer in LA, where it all started... talk about a studio in sync with the audience."
Fast and Furious 6 comes two years after the mammoth success of Fast Five - the biggest hit of the franchise to date - and sees Justin Lin return to the director’s chair.
Diesel is not the only familiar face on the cast list as Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez and Dwayne Johnson will all be returning to the sixth film.
Fast and Furious 6 is released 24th May.
