Executive produced by Patricia Houston, Whitney will come to cinemas across the UK next month, showcasing some of the untold story of the tragic music icon. Kevin MacDonald serves as director on the piece, with Simon Chinn as producer, and this week a brilliant new UK trailer for the film has been released. You can check it out below:
As one of the biggest legends of the music industry, Whitney Houston had an incredible career, but a very publicly documented struggle within her personal life. Whitney hopes to tell the definitive account of the star’s life and career, and with official support from the Houston estate, it includes never-before-seen recordings, footage and live performances throughout various stages of the singer’s life.
With access to vast archives, the filmmakers include personal home footage that has never before been released to the public, offering a glimpse of the life Whitney went through to fans who still miss the star to this day.
Following the world premiere of Whitney at the Cannes Film Festival, the movie picked up some brilliant reviews from critics, and looks set to impress when it finally hits the big screen just a little later this year.
Whitney comes to cinemas across the UK on July 6, 2018.
