Byzantium

Byzantium

If the big budget blockbuster is not really your thing in the early part of the summer then Byzantium could well be the movie for you.

The British vampire movie sees Neil Jordan back in the director's chair while Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan team up to play mother and daughter.

Jordan is no stranger to this genre of film having helmed Interview With The Vampire and it is exciting to see him back tackling a new story.

And we have the latest trailer for the movie for you to take a look at:

Gemma Arterton is one of the best British actresses around at the moment and this, once again, sees her varying her roles.

She teams up with Saoirse Ronan for the first time and Ronan is another talent to keep an eye on for the next few years.

As if having those two on the cast list was not exciting enough they are joined by Sam Riley, Jonny Lee Miller, Tom Hollander and Daniel Mays.

Two mysterious women seek refuge in a run-down coastal resort. Clara meets lonely Noel, who provides shelter in his deserted guesthouse, Byzantium.

Schoolgirl Eleanor befriends Frank and tells him their lethal secret. They were born 200 Years ago and survive on human blood.

As knowledge of their secret spreads, their past catches up on them with deathly consequence.

The vampire genre may have taken a bashing in the last few years thanks to the Twilight Saga but Byzantium promises to bring this genre back with a bang.
