Stars Al Pacino, Steven Bauer, Robert Loggia, F. Murray Abraham and producer Martin Bregman gathered with a host of Hollywood stars for the special night.

Guests relived the explosive power of the film that redefined the gangster genre forever, as Universal Pictures International Entertainment reunited the legendary cast and creators of this iconic underworld epic for a unique presentation.

Audiences were also treated to an exclusive performance from three-time Grammy award winning rap artist Ludacris during the packed after-party.

Speaking at the event Al Pacino, who played Tony Montana in the movie, said: “I was inspired by the original (movie). This merging of the two of them (Oliver Stone and Brian De Palmer) was the key.”

“The Blu-ray is coming out and it just keeps going! It’s a film that’s always been close to my heart.”

Co-star Steven Bauer who played Manny Ribera said: “I've had encounters with fans every day of my life...as most of the world identifies with Tony Montana.

“It’s really beautiful (on Blu-ray) and the sound is amazing. It comes with a documentary that is a killer. It’s the ultimate for fans and people who love the movie.”

Scarface was directed by Brian De Palma and was a remake of the 1932 movie by Howard Hawks. Over the years it has become a cult classic and it is now regarded as the best film in it’s genre,

Producer Martin Bregman said: “It's a perfect film. He (Pacino) moved me. The first time I saw him on stage he just moved me.”

Scarface is released on Blu-Ray 5th September.
