The Big Wedding

The Big Wedding

There are some great comedy movies heading our way over the summer and The Big Wedding is just one that is not to miss.

While the movie may see Justin Zackman in the director's chair and penning the screenplay it is the cast that is the thing to get excited about.

The cast list blends big named experienced stars such as Robert De Niro, Robin Williams, Susan Sarandon and Diane Keaton with stars just making a name for themselves such as Amanda Seyfried and Ben Barnes.

As you tell know that any wedding taking place in a comedy NEVER goes smoothly and we have some great clips to show just how chaotic it can be:

The movie is an America remake of 2006 French film Mon frère se marie and has been adapted for the big screen by Zackman.

The Big Wedding is only the second feature film for the director and the first since Going Greek back in 2001.

Since then he has concentrated on his screen writing penning movie The Biggest List and TV series Lights Out.

The movie follows a charmingly modern family trying to survive a weekend wedding celebration that has the potential to become a full blown family fiasco.

To the amusement of their adult children and friends, long divorced couple Don and Ellie Griffin (Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton) are once again forced to play the happy couple for the sake of their adopted son's wedding after his ultra conservative biological mother unexpectedly decides to fly halfway across the world to attend.

With all of the wedding guests looking on, the Griffins are hilariously forced to confront their past, present and future - and hopefully avoid killing each other in the process.

Wedding movies are always a lot of fun and with the like of Williams, De Niro and Keaton on board there is no way it will fail to make you laugh.

The Big Wedding is released 29th May
