The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has been one of the most anticipated movies of 2013; now we only have to wait nine weeks until it hits the big screen.

I have to say, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is one of the films that I have been looking forward to for some time having been such a big fan of the first.

And a whole host of fantastic new images have been released showing a number of this cast. (via Playlist).

Jennifer Lawrence is back as Katniss Everdeen, in what will be her first big screen outing since she scooped the Best Actress Oscar at the beginning of the year.

There are plenty of familiar faces to watch out for with the likes of Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson and Donald Sutherland all returning.

But there are a whole host of new actors on board as Phillips Seymour Hoffman, Toby Jones, Jena Malone and Sam Claflin are all on board.

Malone and Claflin are two of the most exciting new additions as they play former winners Johanna Mason and Finnick Odair.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire picks up where the first film left off as Katniss and Peeta go on their victory tour.

But Katniss has given the people of Panem hope and revolution is brewing in the districts.

But Katniss and Peeta's celebrations are cut short when they are sent back into the arena to compete against former winners in the Quarter Quell.

It is being predicted that The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will gross close to $1 billion when it hits the big screen in November; we have only had one billion dollar movie so far this year.

No matter how much Catching Fire makes at the box office it is set to be one of the biggest movies of 2013.

And if you are going to the Rome Film Festival in November you are in for a treat as the movie is set to be screened there.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is released 21st November.
