Late punk icon Johnny Ramone’s 61st birthday will be celebrated with a classic horror show at the Los Angeles cemetery where he was laid to rest in 2004.

The Ramones star's widow Linda and former bandmates Tommy and C.J. Ramone will join fans at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where the rocker's statue has become a place for devotees to pay homage, on 3 October - three days before he would have turned 61.

After a signing session and celebration of the rock star's life, Ramones concert movie It's Alive! and classic zombie film Night of The Living Dead will be screened on the wall of the cemetery's mausoleum.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Johnny Ramone Research Fund at the USC Westside Prostate Cancer Center in Los Angeles. Tommy Ramone tells FemaleFirst, "It gives us the opportunity to keep the Ramones legacy alive and to share special times together."
