Metric

Metric

2009 will probably be remembered as the year that Canadian quartet Metric returned to reclaim their shiny pop throne from all the pretenders and wannabes; armed with a spine tingling new single, "Help I'm Alive", spectacular new album, "Fantasies", and now, a cracking live tour, to blaze across the UK in May.

In 2005, Metric knocked the world for six with the one-two punch of their anthemic single "Monster Hospital" (with its ubiquitous "I fought the war/ and the war won" catchcry) and their critically acclaimed album "Live It Out". This year looks to be no different, with the beautifully ethereal yet poignant single "Help I'm Alive" already garnering praise and considerable airplay across the globe, and anticipation at an all-time high for the accompanying, self-released album. Make sure you don't miss them in live action this summer...

In the build up to this hotly anticipated return to the live arena, the band will be making the new album available digitally 4 weeks upfront on the 30th March. The album wil be released physically on 27th April.
