The Good Life Experience is a new festival being launched this year by singing sensation Cerys Matthews.

Now known for her show on BBC Radio 6 and previously known as the lead singer of Welsh rock band Catatonia, Cerys has joined forces with the Gladstone family to launch the festival in September aimed at families, parents and those who hope to get in touch with the great outdoors.

Celebrating that very thing with good music, archery, abseiling, cooking classes, camp fires and much more, there are activities on offer for everybody.

Below are just some of the acts that will be taking to the stage on the day:

Music:
Cerys Matthews – Cerys’ performance will include a performance of her hit songs and a discussion about her latest book, Hook, Line and Singer (The Guardian number one bestseller; The Times top five bestseller)
Paprika – The internationally renowned gypsy concert band will be playing their varied selection of classical and gypsy tunes
Georgia Ruth - Winner of the Welsh Music Prize 2013, the acclaimed harpist will be playing from her much-praised debut album, Week of Pines
The CC Smugglers – An upcoming alternative British band inspired by world music, folk and swing
The London Bulgarian Choir – The 40-strong ensemble, who have performed with amongst others, The Doves at the BBC Electric Proms, will give a special performance of traditional and alternative sounds

Food:
Bill Granger – The world famous international chef will showcase some of his best loved recipes
Tom Herbert, The Fabulous Baker Brothers – Tom will unlock the trade secrets of baking as well as how to bake on a fire
Harry Eastwood – The much-loved presenter of Cook Yourself Thin will share her original, imaginative and unusual approach to low calorie cooking using a range of Britain’s favourite dishes
Luke Thomas - Britain’s youngest head chef, will be shDear Lucyaring his tips and tricks
Brewed Boy Rob Lockyear – Rising star Rob will offer a coffee master class where guests can learn how to brew the best blends

Culture:
Sir Simon Jenkins – The award-winning writer and broadcaster will be giving a talk about his life and experiences
Musa Okwonga - Cultural commentator, musician and poet, Musa will share his views on current affairs
Murray Lachlan Young - Regular poet on BBC Radio 4's Saturday Live and resident poet on BBC 6 Music, Murray will be performing special sets of his latest work
Diarmuid Gavin - Irish garden designer and television personality, Diarmuid will be talking about the best ways to look after your garden

The one-day festival takes place on Saturday September 20 at Harwarden Estate in Flintshire, curated by Cerys along with Charlie and Caroline Glastone, founders of Pedlars the homeware store.
