Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks

Michael Eavis has insisted that neither Queen or Fleetwood Mac will be headlining Glastonbury Festival 2015.

Both of the bands have been heavily rumoured to take to the Pyramid stage at the Worthy Farm, West England location next year, but event organisers now say that this speculation is false.

Speaking to Music Week about the rumours he insisted: "Queen? Not Queen, no. Fleetwood Mac don't seem to be available at the moment. But we've got three excellent headliners for next year."

He then went on to confirm that one of the headline acts is one that's been "around for a long time", and all three will be revealed next year on April 1.

These comments will come as a shock to Fleetwood Mac fans, as Stevie Nicks recently stated the band had been in negotiation talks to headline.

"Glastonbury? You never know. You have to weave festivals in. It's being discussed."

Noel Gallagher has also recently indicated that he would be keen to get on-site and take a headline slot.

"Am I eyeing it up? If I was asked if do it yeah - I'd headline the spoken word tent...

"If Michael Eavis is watching, yeah I'll do it ... I'm up for doing it and I'm going to be going anyway."
