Preparing for his set on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm this Saturday, June 27, Kanye spoke to Q ahead of the event and said that the petition was "an insult to music fans all over the world".

He also denied that race would have been a factor in sparking the petition.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl had said previously that the protest - which garnered over 133,000 signatures - would only fuel Kanye's fire and spur him to put on the best show he possibly could.

Meanwhile, organiser Emily Eavis spoke about what fans can expect from Kanye's set, telling Digital Spy: "I think he'll create an incredible show. What he's talking about at the moment is very exciting. I think he's going to take it big."

Glastonbury opened its doors to visitors on Wednesday at 8am, with over 100,000 people expected over the weekend.
