When I heard Shakiri’s new single was called Waka Waka, I assumed I’d be hating it more than when the alarm goes off after a night of celebrating England getting through to the next stage of the world cup, but you know, it’s not that bad…
In fact, “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” has gone to number one in over 15 countries already, and in Mexico, it has held the #1 spot for 5 weeks in a row so she must be doing something right eh?
The song—which will also be performed by Shakira at the closing ceremonies of the World Cup finals—is already sitting at number 35 in the UK chart without any video or radio play yet!
