Fightstar - Be Human

Fightstar - Be Human

Well, 2009 has been filled with all kinds of ups and down, but as I struggle to make a ‘Driving CD’ for my trip to Preston tonight, I decided it was time to make a list of the albums which I’ve just been listening to over and over this year.

Whilst some of you might agree, some might think I’ve got a rubbish taste in music, and some might think that I’ve left ‘the best band on the planet’ who just so happen to be your favourite out.

Coming up over the next few days are the albums which I’ve added to my iTunes over the past 9 months, and which have had at least one song played every working day since their addition. Now that’s a record.

We all love a bit of Charlie Simpson at FemaleFirst, although I’ve got to admit that I’m more of an Alex Westaway kinda girl, but they both work towards the same goal on this album so it’s all good.

Whilst  a lot of you might still be living in the past and thinking that Charlie is only capable of telling us what he goes to school for and what would be happening in the Year 3000, this album really proved Fightstar’s worth as a rock band.

Not only did they drag in a pretty huge choir for the occasion, but they managed to blag a support slot with Feeder to promote the single. Oh, and obviously they got to come into FemaleFirst HQ for the day too, you know you’re at the top then!
