There have been stories flooding the Internet about LA based rapper Snoop Dogg being arrested in Sweden after a concert earlier this week.The rapper was arrested and charged for possession of narcotics according to numerous sites and news channels. However his publicist released a statement saying that her client had not been arrested and was just helping authorities with their inquiries. Snoop is currently on The Heavyweights of Hip-Hop tour with Sean Combs and will be appearing in the UK on the following dates :

March 27th London Wembley Arena
March 28th Cardiff CIA
March 29th Manchester Men Arena
March 30th Glasgow SECC
April 2nd Nottingham Arena

Eminem faces courts

A spate of exhaustion back in 2005 may have cost Detroit rapper Eminem more than just a couple of days off. The promoters of a concert which Eminem was supposed to perform at in Ireland as part of the Anger Management Tour in August of 05 are seeking up to $2 million dollar damages, from multiple insurance companies in the UK after 80,000 fans were left disappointed.The judge presiding over the case refused to let Eminem give his statement as to why he was unable to participate in the concert in private and he is expected in Ireland now to explain to Justice Peter Kelly as to why he was absent as his testimony will decide the claim.

Bay Area Rapper has Video Pulled

Oakland rapper Mistah F.A.B has had his video for, Ghost Ride It removed from all media outlets for using the logo and a car similar to that from the Columbia Picture movie Ghostbusters. The video had already been under serious scrutiny for depicting 'ghost riding,' which is a sub culture of the Hyphy movement which has encouraged the presence of the San Francisco bay Area as a Hip-Hop stronghold. Ghost riding, which has the driver of the car, walking alongside or on top of the vehicle as the car moves driver less has already taken lives across the US.

The video had been cut in excess of 50 times to make it media friendly before Columbia Pictures decided to take legal action and have the video removed permanently from TV.

Mobb Deep Goes Global

Havoc, one half of Mobb Deep has decided to utilize the new program Voxonic to allow a single from his new album to be available to his global fan base in multiple languages.

The program developed and created by Arie Deutsch and co-signed by Andre Harrell, famed for discovering Sean Combs, became readily available in the US last year.

It allows a song to be converted into as many as 1400 languages yet keeping the actual voice of the artist close to perfect, thus allowing artists to reach fans beyond those of their native tongue.

Havoc is also involved with Voxtone, a subsidiary of the Voxonic company which will use his voice for international voice tones.

High street retailer Top Shop yesterday announced that it was taking

The Gangsta Rap Coloring Book off its shelves after numerous complaints. This comes after multiple shootings in South London, shootings which many seem to believe stem from young people listening and being influenced by Hip-Hop.

The book featured pictures of labeled gangsta rappers 50 cent and Ice Cube and was called 'sick ' by the Mothers Against Guns organization.
