In today's daily rap, Usher rehires his mom as his manager, gunfire ruined the second Rock Ross Be Out Day, a UK MC loses out to a mixtape DJ and the wonderful Joe Budden plans a return.

Usher rehires his Mom

R&B sensation caused media outlets to buzz last year when the Confessions star opted to work with a new manager over his Mother.

The singer stated that the reason for this was because he wanted his Mother, Jonetta Patton who had handled his career for the duration up to that point should be focusing more on being a Mother and Grandmother as opposed to his manager.

Well it looks like the slow sales of his most recent album Here I Stand might have something to do with the reason why Benny Medina, Usher’s current manager and W&W Public Relations have encouraged the parting of ways.

Even though Here I stand has sold close to a million records it hasn’t come close to the sales of Confessions which has up to this point sold close to ten million copies worldwide.

Gunfire erupts

The second annual Rock Ross Be Out Day held in Miami yesterday was halted when someone in the crowd started shooting.

The Be Out Day is a day specifically organized to encourage children to go back to school by providing them with clothing, book bags and items needed to return to school after the Summer holidays.

The day had been going well until Rick Ross took to the stage and it was at that point that gunfire had the crowd who had come out to see performances from Miami’s Hip-Hop acts running for cover.

As of yet no injuries have been reported.

UK MC loses out to mixtape DJ

Dap C, a rapper from Newcastle had secured a verse from the most talked about rapper in Hip-Hop for his up and coming single.

Ma Money featuring Lil Wayne, Talib Kwelis and Royce da 5’9” was going to be the track that catapulted the UK rapper to global stardom.

However before the track was even released mixtape DJ Big Mike used the verse that Lil Wayne recorded for his up and coming project without permission from Dap C or producer Quincey Tones and placed the verse over a totally different track and with no Dap C in sight.

There has yet to be any comment from the Big Mike camp in regards to how and why this happened, but Dap C will be releasing his single in the next couple of days.

Joe Budden Returns

After his situation at Def Jam went pear shaped, New Jersey rapper Joe Budden is gearing up to release his next album Padded Room on October 28th.

Budden who has kept relevant while in a head lock situation with his former label by releasing his mixtape series Mood Muzik will be putting this project out through digital distributors Amalgam, however the album will be available in both digital and CD formats.

The video for the first single Touch and Go will be available next month.
