Franz Ferdinand released their third album, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, through Domino Records in January 2009. The album reached number 2 in the U.K. charts and charted in the top 10 in 19 other countries worldwide, including the U.S.
They head to the U.S. for a tour starting in mid-April (including a slot at the Coachella festival) before returning in May to play festivals across Europe during the summer, including slots at both Glastonbury (headlining the second stage), T in the Park & a headline performance at Bennicasim. They also headline the Fuji festival in Japan in July.
