Liam Gallagher has dismissed rumours he plans to quit music to concentrate on making movies - insisting his Beatles film project is a one-off.

The former Oasis frontman was left reeling last year when the band dissolved after the departure of his brother Noel, who quit following a series of arguments with his singing sibling.

Gallagher re-teamed with several of his Oasis bandmates to form a new music project, with plans to release an album. He's taking a break from music to work on a new movie, which will bring Richard DiLello's book, The Longest Cocktail Party, about the last days of the Fab Four, to the big screen - sparking rumors the star has found a new career in filmmaking.

But Gallagher is adamant this will be his only movie project, he tells the Associated Press, "I'm not going into films, this is the last thing for me. I mean I'm not going to get sucked into that. I'm going to do this one thing because I like it, and I've got the opportunity to do it."
