Oasis were forced to pay cash upfront to record at Abbey Road - after they were thrown out of the legendary studios over their wild behaviour.

The Wonderwall hitmakers were banned from the building during the recording of their 1997 album Be Here Now after their rock 'n' roll antics upset staff, and when they tried to book the studio ten years later to lay down tracks for Dig Out Your Soul, they were told to settle their bill in advance.

Guitarist Noel Gallagher - who quit the band last year after an argument with his singer brother Liam at a gig in France - tells NME.com, "We decided to go back to Abbey Road after being kicked out during the Be Here Now sessions for being a bit wild. They let us back in, but we had to pay in cash. We had to pay upfront for the studio time. If they threw us out we lost all the money."
