Brinkman will release their new single ‘Change It’ on July 30th 2007 through His Master’s Voice, resurrected especially for the band. The single follows their recent limited edition debut for the label, ‘I Wish’.Brinkman are Paul Cook (vocals and guitar), Tom Brown (bass) and Neil Kerly (drums). Whilst Paul and Neil have played together in bands for several years, Brinkman were conceived just over two years ago when Tom answered an advert to join the pair, and moved from Bournemouth to London. A critically acclaimed single for Club Fandango, ‘Kirsten Dunst’, attracted much attention to the young band and a deal with EMI swiftly followed. ‘Change It’ is a shining example of what to expect from Brinkman this year. Quintessentially English, it’s a perfect guitar-pop song: short, sweet and ready to stalk you throughout the summer. The band will be supporting Travis on their UK tour this month, following which they’ll undertake a three week residency at London’s Monto Water Rats.

Brinkman will also be joining Xfm’s John Kennedy’s night at the Metro on June 5th as part of City Showcase 2007.
