Following on from his debut release ‘Mathematics’, Cherry Ghost is back with a new single ‘People Help The People’.
After the gentle bittersweet melancholia of his debut single ‘Mathematics’, Cherry Ghost shows a more passionate side with his forthcoming single, ‘People Help The People’ 25th June on Heavenly Recordings. Theme-wise it’s firmly rooted in trademark Cherry Ghost territory – a lament by the perennial outsider looking for a home. With it’s anthemic chorus, soaring strings and piano and Aldred’s rough-diamond vocals ‘People Help The People’ is a lyrically sophisticated song that combines poetry and rousing melody to create music with both drama and darkness. It also cements Cherry Ghost’s knack of creating songs based on personal stories that have universal appeal. Having recently toured with Amy Winehouse and Polytechnic as well as performing several headline shows throughout the UK, Cherry Ghost will be making various festival appearances in the Summer alongside a further set of headline shows.
