“100% sunshine pop” – Daily Star

Scouting For Girls, the indie-pop sensations of the summer, are all set to release their latest single, ‘It’s Not About You’ on August 4.. Scouting For Girls are arguably the British pop phenomenon of 2008; released in September of last year, their chart-topping eponymous debut album is the biggest selling of any British band this year, with in excess of 500,000 copies sold to date. The band has recently completed their sold-out Spring tour which included a record breaking 4 nights at Shepherds Bush Empire, playing to over 8,000 screaming fans in London alone. “It’s Not About You” was the band’s very first release, as a limited edition EP back in June 2007. It became the highest of its kind to chart in British history and set the tone for their Top 3 chart successes to date with ‘She’s So Lovely’, ‘Elvis Ain’t Dead’ and ‘Heartbeat’. Scouting For Girls have a busy summer of shows line-up, performing at all the major UK Summer Festivals, and a string of Australian and New Zealand dates ahead of their Winter UK tour in November.
