Rob Harvey’s gang are back in business - NME

The music are back and they are ready to release their cracking new single, The Spike on August 11. Taken from their recent top twenty album - which was their first in four years - the song was produced by Flood (Killers / U2) and Paul Hartnoll (ex Orbital.)

The band recently completed their ‘Four Cities’ series of dates, the concept of which involved returning to play the same cities in consecutive months, but each time returning to a bigger venue. All 12 shows in the 4 cities run sold-out.

Having sold in excess of one million albums worldwide, the band returned in 2008 with their third long player following the release of their self-titled debut in 2002 and Welcome To The North in 2004.

The new record documents a turbulent 4 years during which the band came close to collapse and it’s dynamism and new found drive is testament to, the still young, band’s determination.

Always one of the most exciting live bands in the country, The Music recently completed a major headline UK tour and this summer sees them play festivals across the globe, including Fuji Rock in Japan and Splendour In The Grass in Australia having already played an acclaimed and rapturously received set at this year’s Isle Of Wight festival.

The Music are: Robert Harvey (vocal / guitar), Adam Nutter (guitar), Stuart Coleman (bass) & Phil Jordan (drums).
