Ruarri Joseph

Ruarri Joseph

Ages ago we asked Ruarri Joseph if he fancied answering the 15 Questions We Ask Everyone in the hope of promoting his new single or album or whatever he was messing about with at the time.

We heard nothing back for a while and at first we thought 'shame', then we thought 'oh well' and finally we forgot we had ever put in the request… but today, Lo and behold, he's finally decided he has enough time to answer 15 Questions, albeit not especially excitingly… and this is what we have…

Hello there little monster, what are you up to?

I’m watching the ships roll in then watching them roll away again.

So, tell me a bit about what you’re here to promote?

My new record Shoulder to the Wheel.

And if we didn’t have any clue as to who you were, what three words sum you up?

Hungry, approachable, busy?

And as Jacko had the Moonwalk and Elvis had the snake hips, what do you have that makes you unique?

Have you not heard of the Joseph Shuffle?  It’s quite a sight.

Now, clearly we need to get to know each other more, so tell me an interesting fact about you that noone else knows?

When I was a kid I wanted to be a wrestler.

What song do you wish you’d written?

It’s Alright Ma (I’m Only Bleeding) – Bob Dylan

If I was contemplating coming to your show or sitting at home and TV, how would you convince me to come out?

Have you not heard of the Joseph Shuffle?  It’s quite a sight.

And if you were to take me on a trip to your hometown, what would be the first place we’d go?

Out to the headland for some air.

Who was the last person you called / text and what for?

My wife to tell her I love her…and to get some bread and milk.

If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower?

To be articulate.

If you had to date a member of the same sex who would it be?

I can’t tell you in case it ever happens.

What was the last thing you bought?

Entourage Season 7.

Have you ever been arrested?

No, I was a smart criminal.

Speaking of prison - if you were to send someone to prison for crimes against music, who would it be?

There isn’t a prison big enough to cater for them all!

What were you doing last night at 11?
Recording stuff and drinking tea.
