Adam Ant steps up feud with Liam Gallagher

Adam Ant has stepped up his war-of-words with Liam Gallagher, branding the former Oasis star's music 'smug hooligan rock'.

The Prince Charming singer fell out with the Beady Eye frontman after claiming the rocker was behind bandmate Andy Bell's decision to pull a track he wrote from Ant's new album.

Earlier in the month, Gallagher hit back at Ant - who has a history of mental health issues - and branded him 'nutty' and 'off his t*ts'.

And now Ant has stirrd the feud further by criticising the music Gallagher made as a member of Oasis.

He tells British Magazine OK!: "Oasis did pub rock, and I just find it derivative, unadventurous, smug hooligan rock. Reworking Beatles songs is not going to do it for me, because we've had the Beatles."

Bell recently came out in support of his Beady Eye bandmate, insisting a friend passed on the track he wrote to Adam Ant without his consent. Bell claims Gallagher knew nothing about the mix up.
