British dance group Basement Jaxx have recruited Yoko Ono for an unlikely duet on their forthcoming album.

The Where's Your Head At? hitmakers - comprising of Felix Burton and Simon Ratcliffe - admit they have been longtime admirers of John Lennon's singer/artist widow and were delighted when she accepted their proposal to record a track together for their fifth studio disc Scars.

So the pair flew out to New York to work with Ono - but the trip proved to be much more productive than they had planned, and they ended up collaborating with two other artists during their stay.

Burton tells FemaleFirst; "I wanted to record Yoko Ono. That was the reason we went out there (to New York), and then Yo! Majesty and Santigold (collaborations) fell into place along with that."
