Pop star-turned-vibrator creator Dave Stewart is to link up with France's First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy for a duet at the upcoming Nelson Mandela Day tribute in New York.

Stewart was the man behind the first Mandela Day concert in South Africa and he'll be among the big name performers at the latest birthday tribute on 18 July (09). The former Eurythmics star will perform alongside model/singer Bruni-Sarkozy at Madison Square Garden.

Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah, Cyndi Lauper, Jesse McCartney, Josh Groban and Wyclef Jean will also appear on the bill.

The performance is the latest in a string of recent collaborations between Stewart and Bruni-Sarkozy; the duo has been working together on some new songs, and the French leader's wife also featured in a recent photography exhibit celebrating the release of the rocker's new photography book, The Dave Stewart Songbook Vol. 1.
