Gavin DeGraw is still stunned after shaking the hands of people destined to die in a plane crash minutes before the tragedy.DeGraw performed with Travis Barker and Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein in South Carolina before they boarded a doomed Learjet flight, which cost two of their friends their lives early on Saturday.Speaking exclusively to U.S. news show Extra, DeGraw says, "The people that you travel with when you're doing this for a living, they become your family. I was shaking somebody's hand who was about to die… That could just as easily been our reality too. You have no idea what your own fate or their fate is going to be."DeGraw has revealed that many of his friends, fans and family feared he was onboard the flight from Columbia airport to Van Nuys, California, which failed to clear the runway and crashed. He adds, "I got so many calls from people who were checking to see if I was OK… My dad got on the phone and goes, 'Just say hi' and I said, 'Huh' and he said, 'That's enough. I just wanted to hear your voice.'"DeGraw's stage partners DJ AM and Barker are both critical but stable in an Augusta, Georgia hospital burns unit. Four people died in the plane crash.
