Jedward

The world’s biggest and highly revered classic car racing festival; The Silverstone Classic, will have an extra high-topped twist this year, as the 2010 event once again doubles-up as a grand scale music festival over two of its three days.

The Silverstone Classic will continue its recent tradition of offering the best in past and present musical entertainment, presenting two major concerts on its Friday and Saturday evenings.

To compliment the classic feel of the weekend, on Friday night Silverstone’s resident petrol heads will be geared-up to rock the evening away to the familiar guitar licks of prestigious heritage bands, The Yardbirds and Dr Feelgood.

Then, on Saturday evening, the revelry comes bang up to date with X Factor favourites Jedward bringing their unique vertically inclined show to the main stage. They will be supported by sets from other successful popular acts of the 2009 and 2008 series; Danyl Johnson and Ruth Lorenzo. Also performing will be the Rick Parfitt Jnr. Rock Band. Rick junior has rocking and racing in his ripped genes; he’s the son of legendary Status Quo member Rick senior and is himself an accomplished racer.

The spectacular three-day Silverstone Classic event is staged at the famous Silverstone circuit, birthplace of the FIA Formula One World Championship and home of the British Grand Prix. The Silverstone Classic features over 1000 drivers racing more than 800 of the world’s finest competition cars spanning the full spectrum of motor sport history.

Adding to the rich on-track entertainment, the Silverstone Classic features a vast array of off-track attractions with 6000+ classic cars and bikes on display, hot rod demonstrations, fun fair, parades and live music concerts - guaranteeing a memorable day out for all the family!
