If The Lights Go Out’ is the third single to be taken from Katie’s new, and third album, ‘Pictures’. With her distinctive voice and simple melodiousness, Katie has the ability to turn the end of life into a relentlessly positive tale of love on this hopelessly romantic song.Speaking about the song Katie explains: ‘If The Lights Go Out’ is a song about living for the moment and also swearing to the person that you love that you want to spend every day of your life with them, including the last moments.'Released in October the album ‘Pictures’ knocked Bruce Springsteen off the top spot of Billboard’s pan-European chart in November achieving various number one and top five positions around the world along the way. Katie concluded 2007 with the release of ‘What A Wonderful World’, a duet with the late Eva Cassidy, as a fundraiser for the British Red Cross and which topped the British charts. Since bursting onto the scene in the summer of 2003, aged just 18, no one, least of all Katie, would have predicted what the next few years would hold for the teenager.

Now 23, Katie has sold almost 9 million albums and in 2006, she became the best selling British female in the world.

Awarded the Golden Camera Award for International Pop Artist at the start of 2007, Katie was presented with the Echo Award for International Female Artist in March 2007 and has just been nominated for the same award for the fourth consecutive year.

On May 4th Katie will be performing a standalone concert at the Royal Albert Hall and in October, as part of her world tour, Katie will return to Britain for her largest UK arena tour to date.
