Lykke Li

Lykke Li

Lykke Li was forced to cancel her gig at Finland's Flow Festival just two hours before she was due onstage after coming down with a sudden illness.

The singer was stricken with a mystery ailment in the run up to her set on the Main Stage, and it was left to Iron & Wine singer/songwriter Samuel Beam to fill the gap at the three-day event.

Announcing the line-up change on the festival website, organisers stated: "Lykke Li has just cancelled her performance due to a sudden illness. As this just happened, there will be no substituting act, instead Iron & Wine will play longer than initially planned."

And Beam gave Li a shout out during his set, telling fans: "I'm sorry to hear about Lykke Li. I hope she gets better soon."

Li wasn't the only missing act on the festival bill - rap icon Q-Tip scrapped his performance on Friday night due to "personal reasons" and was replaced by hip-hop star MF Doom.

The Flow Festival also featured sets by Empire of the Sun, The Human League and soul star Janelle Monae, while Kanye West will close the show on Sunday.
