Eagerly anticipated debut single from Nickelodeon’s hottest stars
Boyfriend feat. Snoop Dogg set to impact on the 18th April 2011

Debut UK gig at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London on the 19th April 2011

Sony Music and Nickelodeon are excited to announce that America’s hottest new music group, Big Time Rush will be performing their debut single on ITV1’s Daybreak on the 18th April. Having already charmed their way into the nation’s hearts on their hit Nickelodeon show of the same name, Kendall, James, Carlos and Logan will be heard doing what they do best on the catchy pop-track Boyfriend; which also features the distinct vocal-styling of legendary rapper Snoop Dogg.

Since its launch on Nickelodeon UK in May, the band’s globally successful series, Big Time Rush, consistently rates in the top three slots and reached over four million UK viewers last year alone. In addition, the Big Time Rush section of Nickelodeon UK’s site received 2.5 million unique page views last year and during the band’s first trip to London earlier this year, they took part in a live global web chat for Nick.co.uk with over 50,000 questions submitted.

“We had an incredible time making this single and working with Snoop Dogg was a dream come true for all of us, not only is he one of the most important artists of our time but he’s also a great guy and was a lot of fun to work with,” states James Maslow of Big Time Rush.  “We had a fantastic time on our recent trip to London, it was amazing to meet so many of our UK fans and they seem even more excited that we are about the release of this single!”
Hugely popular on both sides of the Atlantic, the band have already sold over 1.5 million combined digital tracks worldwide and their debut album, BTR, released on Columbia Records in the U.S., landed the no. 3 spot on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart last year.

The band will be back in the UK in April, with a live gig taking place on the 19th April 2011 at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London, their debut album will be hitting shelves in the UK in July 2011.

The TV show Big Time Rush, produced in partnership with Sony Music, follows four best friends from Minnesota—Kendall, James, Carlos and Logan—as they trade in their hockey sticks and parkas for a chance at music superstardom in Los Angeles.  With a few misadventures along the way, the boys quickly find out that life in Hollywood is not all about hanging at the pool and attending parties.  After proving to themselves and their record label that they are serious about their musical career, Big Time Rush are now ready for the next phase of their personal and professional lives.  Between juggling the demands of their newfound fame, romantic relationships, finding their own personal musical style and homework the group learns that success comes with hard work and dedication – and the support of one another.
