 The RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS are officially back - they have a release date set for their first album in five years and festival shows planned.
 
 Californian funk-pop veterans, Red Hot Chili Peppers, have announced the title and release date of their tenth studio album I'm With You.
 
The group's new album, I'm With You, has been produced by Rick Rubin and will hit stores and the Internet on 30 August (11).
 
 Singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea and drummer Chad Smith will be joined by guitarist Josh Klinghoffer on the album and on upcoming dates - This will be the first album to feature Josh Klinghoffer as an official member of the band, and will be the first album not to feature John Frusciante since One Hot Minute in 1995. Frusciante left the band in 2009 to focus on his solo career.
 
 The band will headline Japan's Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka on 13 August (11) and in Tokyo on 14 August (11). They will also headline the Rock in Rio Festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 24 September (11).
