The Wombats have announced that are to release a charity Christmas single with comedian Les Dennis.The track which in entitled, “This is Christmas,” features a spoken introduction by the 54 year old Dennis.Dennis said: “They were great and cool and I loved their music. They are a great Liverpool band - I think it's great that they have done this". He added that the song was witty and ironic and "a real indie Christmas song". The single will be released on 15 December, as a special one-off seasonal song with all proceeds going to MENCAP. Kate Teasdale
