Azealia Banks has taken to social media once more to let her feelings be known, this time telling her fans and followers that she doesn't think her music or work gets enough recognition.

On Instagram, she wrote: "I feel really sad and uninspired. I'm having trouble musturing up enough smiles and enthusiasm to finish 'Fantasea 2'. I feel deeply misunderstood. I feel cheated, I feel stolen from... I feel as though I've made and am making such huge contributions to the times as far as music and national conversation go, only to be shoved into a corner and punished while I watch my ideas and insight get paraphrased and repacked by everyone."

'Fantasea 2' is of course the name for her upcoming new album, the follow-up to 2014 release 'Broke With Expensive Taste'.

She also wrote on her account: "I'm working on a huge article about skin lightening. Including the differences between skin bleaching and skin lightening. Skin whitening and skin brightening. All four of these things are different."

Banks has seemed to stay out of the spotlight following a spate of controversy which saw her defend Bill Crosby following rape accusations, attack Zayn Malik in a racist online outburst and launch into homophobic tirades against the likes of Perez Hilton.
