Azealia Banks is in the news for all the wrong reasons once more, after sending a barrage of racist and homophobic tweets to Zayn Malik and threatening to bring armed security to her scheduled appearance at Born & Bred Festival this weekend, Sunday May 15.

An announcement from Rinse FM this afternoon however confirmed that Banks would no longer be performing at the London event.

It read: "We have decided to cancel Azealia Banks' headline appearance at Rinse / Born & Bred Festival.

"Rinse / Born & Bred is a celebration of rave culture and has been created for EVERYONE.

"We celebrate inclusivity and equality."

Responding to the news on her own Twitter account, Banks wrote: "Most of the people coming to this on my day were only coming for me."

She added: "Everyone loves to gang up on Azealia and be funny and shady and get mad when I say something truly f**ked up.

"Everyone wants to add their 'shade' and their two cents and get mad when I give them 99c.

"To all of my Darling UK fans who bought tickets to see me at the Rinse FM show. My sincerest apologies!"

The decision was made after Banks called Malik a "curry scented b***h", "Punjab" and "fa**ot".

Many Twitter users are now calling for Banks' account to be deleted or suspended, as she has clearly violated a number of rules they set out on the platform.
