On Tuesday, December 15 it was revealed that the two had entered a joint venture with Universal Music Publishing Group bosses for a new label division, called Safehouse Publishing.

Chord was then revealed as the first artist on Safehouse Publishing's roster.

In a statement issued to Billboard, Lovato said: "I am thrilled to be in business with Universal Music Publishing Group for both my music and our label, Safehouse Records.

"This new relationship is allowing me to grow as a musician and an entrepreneur and, most importantly, it is allowing me to create an inspiring environment for other artists.

Jonas adds: "Safehouse Records has been a passion project for Phil (McIntyre, manager), Demi and myself for years. We are happy we found the perfect home at Universal Music Publishing Group."
