Hugh Laurie’s musical career looks to step up another notch as the actor turned musician has announced not only another new album, but a full UK tour to go alongside it.

After scoring a surprise hit with his last album Let Them Talk, Laurie’s exploration into the world of blues will continue on May 6th with his follow up album ‘Didn’t It Rain’, which will see him also team up with producer Joe Henry.

This time though, Laurie’s taking the record on the road, with an eight date tour that will see him and the Copper Bottom Band play in a selection of the biggest cities in the UK in June.

Speaking about the album Laurie said “I have resolved to forge on, deeper into the forest of American music that has enchanted me since I was a small boy

He went on to say “The further I go, the more bewitched I become – both by the songs and by the people I have been lucky enough to play them with.”

15th – Oxford, New Theatre

17th – Brighton, Dome

18th – Birmingham, Symphony Hall

20th – Manchester, O2 Apollo
