The fun-filled music extravaganza, held across two sites in Chelmsford and Staffordshire, has managed to nab the 'Sorry' hitmaker and the 'Work' singer, 28, as the main acts for the highly-awaited two-day event on August 20 and 21.

The 21-year-old pop star - who will be on his 'Purpose' world tour at the time - will make his debut at the event as he takes to the stage at Hylands Park in Essex on the Saturday (20) before travelling to Weston Park on Sunday (21).

Rihanna - who last appeared at the event five years ago - will, on the other hand, kick off her set at Weston Park on the Saturday before moving to Hylands Park the next evening.

And organisers have promised her energetic slot will be her "only UK festival of the summer" which, if proves to be true, will rule her out for this year's Glastonbury in June.

Meanwhile, Sia, David Guetta, Rita Ora, Faithless, Kaiser Chiefs and Bastille are also featured on the confirmed line-up, along with Jess Glynne, Little Mix, Jake Bugg, Years & Years, Tinie Tempah, Example and Craig David's TS5.

Tickets for this year's V Festival will go on sale on its official website on Friday February 26 at 9:30am.
