The 29-year-old pop superstar shocked crowds with an "impromptu" set with Brian Newman's jazz band at the V Magazine Party which lasted 30 minutes.

A source from The New York Post said: "She jumped up for an impromptu set. She was just going to do one song, but it ended up being 30 minutes."

The 'Born This Way' hitmaker sang Edith Piaf's classic 'La Vie en Rose', Frank Sinatra's 'Call Me Irresponsible', and a collaboration with her friend Tommy London whilst his spouse Angie Pontani performed a burlesque act.

Carine Roitfeld, Marina Abramovic, Peter Marino and Riccardo Tisci were among guests at the event.

The secret show follows her David Bowie tribute performance at the Grammys on Monday (15.02.16), where she dressed as the late music legend's alter-ego Ziggy Stardust and sang a nine-song medley of his classic songs.

And she continued to show her dedication to Bowie - who died last month after a secret battle with cancer - by still sporting her Ziggy Stardust-inspired shock orange hairdo to the bash.

Gaga previously revealed her goal behind her tribute to the late 'Starman' hitmaker.

She said: "I want people to have the experience of being a David Bowie super-fan, because that's a wonderful thing."
