The ‘Spinnin’’ hitmaker loved working with the 51-year-old producer - who has worked with many huge names across the industry like Justin Timberlake, 42, Nelly Furtado, 44, Megan Thee Stallion, 28, and many others - and praised him for being “supportive” of her career.

The 24-year-old songstress said while in conversation with singer Tom Aspaul: “It’s really difficult to name. I think he’s just so iconic in so many ways, and has such a signature sound. We actually met when I was like 15, he was working with a friend of mine and I met him at the studio and they, to be honest, didn’t really know who he was. They were like, ‘oh, cool – this is the producer’ and I was like, ‘no – this is Timbaland, like, you don’t understand!’ and I ended up sort of stealing him and speaking to him the whole night, and we ended up connecting. And since maybe 2015, we’ve followed each other online and randomly kept in contact. When we made ‘Home To Another One’, we FaceTimed him and were just like ‘would you consider doing something with this?’ and he was down, miraculously. He’s just so cool, very supportive, very iconic.”

Madison revealed to be expect “a lot of new Timbaland” music as he has been working with different acts recently.

She said: “I was gonna say, I know he’s been working a lot so I think we’re gonna have a lot of new Timbaland soon. He’s a really sweet guy, he’s been really cool to me.”

The ‘Good in Goodbye’ hitmaker spoke about how she opted not to hany duets on her new album, ‘The Silence Between Songs’ - which is out on September 15 - as she needs “driving reason” to do so.

Madison said: There are so many positives to a collaboration, who’s to say that someone might not end up featuring on a song? But sometimes - how can I say this – I feel like people do collabs for the wrong reasons. Not that wanting more streams is a wrong reason, but that’s not really a driving reason for me to want to collab with someone. If I want to collab with someone, I really want to collab with people who I absolutely adore and think are amazing, whoever it is. But yeah, sometimes people are like ‘we should get this person on this song’ and I’m like, [makes face]”.
