As one of the biggest stars in the industry, Nile Rodgers has an illustrious career to his name and will now be adding another achievement under his belt with the curation of a 64 track disco music album.
“When the label asked me to put together a track list for Disco Inferno I was like ‘YEAH! When do I start?’ said Nile, ‘but the biggest challenge was narrowing the choices down to just sixty four tracks from a starting point of several hundred. But the guys at the label gave some direction as to the shape of the album – a mix of hits and more unusual stuff. I’ve drawn not only on my own personal production history but also on my extensive knowledge of disco, funk and soul music - I guess - having had years of first-hand dance floor experience from landmark era clubs such as Studio 54.”
