The 'Elastic Heart' hitmaker spent time with the singing superstar, 27, going through several songs she'd written and produced and Rihanna came away with four she liked, but Sia isn't sure they'll make the final cut.

Speaking to Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2, Sia, 39: "The other night she came over and listened to half of 25 songs I played her because she's still looking for songs for her new album.

"She was there to listen to songs and see if there was anything that she was into. It was a business meeting for sure. She took four [songs] but I don't know if they'll end up [on the album]. I'm pretty sure I have one on the new album but I don't know if I'll end up with more than that."

And the Australian singer/songwriter - who wrote Rihanna's 2012 hit 'Diamonds' - even offered her own song 'Alive', but she rejected it.

She previously said: "We were writing it for her new album but it didn't fit with the other tracks so she rejected it.

"I sent it to Rihanna's people and they rejected it, but in the meantime everyone said I should do it myself."

RiRi's much-anticipated record was expected to be released earlier this month after several teaser videos appeared on a website ANTIdiaRy.com, which was setup with technology giants Samsung for the album's campaign, but nothing has followed since.

The singer's forthcoming album is expected to feature singles 'Bitch Better Have My Money' and 'American Oxygen' both released earlier this year, along with her collaboration with Sir Paul McCartney and Kanye West, 'FourFiveSeconds'.
