The next series of Glee is set to introduce one of the main characters, Rachel Berry's, adoptive gay dads.
Lea Michelle, who plays Rachel Berry, has had a few storylines about her childhood and how her mother, an actress and performer, couldn't face having a child so gave her up for adoption. The character was bought up by a gay couple, who encouraged her to follow her dreams of beign a performer herself, and then during the second series of the show she found her mother. There is often reference to Rachel's dads, but they haven't yet appeared in the show.
Murphy had the idea that Sir Elton would be perfect in the role as one of the two men that adopted the character at birth.
Unofortunately for Glee, Sir Elton is busy througout the filming of the series due to his upcoming tour.
Murphy was interviewed about the storyline and said: "I'm currently meeting and talking to (actors). So many people are interested in playin them, but (Elton) is, unfortunately, touring."
