Jay-Z

Jay-Z uses lyrics by R.E.M. new album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail.'

The hip-hop superstar will use lines from the indie band's 'Losing My Religion' on the track 'Heaven'.

The chorus line of the R.E.M. hit: "That's me in the corner / that's me in the spotlight / losing my religion".

Jay also includes a line in his rap addressing conspiracy theorists, who have read much into the symbols used in some of his previous videos.

He says: "Conspiracy theorist screaming / llluminati / they can't believe this much skill is in the human body."

Earlier this week, Jay also revealed lyrics from Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' which he uses on another song, 'Holy Grail'.

He was granted permission to use words written by the late grunge legend Kurt Cobain by the star's widow Courtney Love.

She previously admitted her decision to let Jay use Kurt's words may not be very popular with her daughter by the late star, Frances Bean Cobain.

She said: "I'm letting Jay-Z use lyrics - Frances would freak [if she knew about it]. Jay-Z's huge and we're friends. I mean we're not besties or anything."

One million copies of Jay's 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' will be given away free to Samsung Galaxy smartphone users 72 hours before the record's official release on July 4.
